The Kasmani and Kassam families found Central Poultry (Cp Poultry Company) in 2000 in the capital Lilongwe at Dudu Estate. He first sold in Lilongwe and then expanded. Demand for CP chicken grew quickly, leading the commission of the first processing plant at Dudu Estate. CP is Malawi’s largest processor and marketer of chicken. Cp is fully integrated broiler and producer that breeds and rears its own livestock which it feeds from its own feed mills, processes, distributes and markets fresh, frozen, value added and further –processed chicken. Today CP is no longer simply a chicken producer, but a company that has placed the consumer at the heart of its business- creating over 4 million memorable meal occasions every week. CP operates in the local retail, wholesale and foodservice channels with 1 Brand Little Chef for a number of retailers and wholesalers.
